97 Capulet Castle

Verona, Italy

November 5, 1589

Dear Juliet,

I know, daughter, that you do not want to marry Paris, but you must. He is a gallant young man, and the only one in Verona. He is the only person suitable for you, and marrying him will help us. We might finally be able to overcome the Montagues!

I also would like to tell and remind you to not talk to Benvolio, Mercutio, Romeo, or any of the Montagues. They cause trouble too often. I do not want you to talk to them, or go near them! They are not suitable for you. They are not kind, trustworthy, or strong. I trust that you will listen and obey me. If not, there will be punishment.

Your Mother,

Lady Capulet

P.S. We are having a feast tonight and Paris is invited. I am positive he will be there, so keep your eye out for him. Be kind and please try to like him!

L.C.

  1. The Capulets cause all of the trouble and the Montagues have to deal with it.

  2. Dearest Lady Capulet,
I do agree indeed that Juliet should give thy Paris a chance. For his a lovely, gallant, young gentleman. He is such a man, and perfect for my Juliet. Oh, uh, I mean your Juliet. Although, This Romeo Montague, is a very handsome, kind gentleman. Well, so I've heard.

    Sincerely,
    Nurse

    Lady Capulet,

I do agree that Juliet should marry Count Paris. I think that he suits her, but Juliet has a secret. My cousin Romeo has that same secret too. I am not telling this to aggravate thou, but thou daughter Juliet has secretly married my cousin Romeo.

    One of thy enemies,

    Mercutio Montegue

  5. Dear Mom,

I don't understand why you would want me to marry Count Paris! It's not right to force love! I must say that I love Romeo and I can not betray him by marrying someone else!

    Please understand mom.

  6. You are so cruel, not letting your daughter marry who she wants. Paris is so not as cool or brave, or strong, as my son Romeo, Paris is like a peasent to Romeo. If you want to give your daughter some real advice then tell her to switch families, and become a Montague, not one of those things called Capulets.

    Dearest Respect,
    Lord Montague

  7. How dare thee boss around Romeo's love! As I have said before, thou can not do anything about love. True love at first sight is powerful. Trust me, I have seen Romeo acting weirdly on the streets of Verona. You always make mistakes, as well as your lovely Capulet relatives. Oh yes... Juliet Montague is not a Capulet. Let us just say that she loves someone else more then that darn Paris!

    Romeo's Dearest Friend,
    Mercutio Montague

P.S. Did you see Romeo's shoes at the ball? They were stunning!

  9. Lady Capulet, I am no trouble maker. It is that furious Tybalt who causes the trouble. By the way I am the only one suitalbe for Juliet.

    Sincerely,

    Romeo Montague
